Philip Asare Kusi, from University of Siena, joined our team for six month internship. In our group, Philip is going to develop bioluminesent sensor. Welcome on board.

Dr Tan Phat Huynh gave an invited oral presentation at Nordic POP - China Forum on Clinical and Translational Medicine 2019, Turku, Finland, entitled: "Functional materials for chemical sensing".

M.Sc. Morad Zouheir joined our team for six month internship. He comes from Faculty of Science at University Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah, where he is a doctoral student.


We are looking for Doctoral Student in Physical Chemistry within Academy of Finland project dealing with electronic tongue (e-tongue) for the detection of cancer biomarkers in urine. More information you can find in link below.


M.Sc. Mohammad Amzad Hossain Bhuyan started an internship in our group. Welcome on board!

Dr Tan Phat Huynh gave a talk at the Graduate School seminar 2019 at Institute of Biochemical Plant Pathology, Helmholtz Zentrum München, Munich, Germany.


Dr Tan -Phat Huynh was awarded over 500 000 euro research grant from Academy of Finland. The title of the project is: "Discrimination of multiple metabolite biomarkers in urine using an electronic tongue – A proof-of-concept for the non-invasive and early-stage diagnosis of breast cancer (ELITE)". Congratulations!!!


Dr. Tan-Phat Huynh was interviewed by Åbo Akademi magazine (MFÅA). The article is in the last issue of MFÅA (02/2019). The article describes  Dr. Tan-Phat Huynh contribiution to research on origami hierarchical sensor array (published in Nat. Commun., 2019)

Dr. Tan-Phat Huynh has been awarded the research grant from Liv och Hälsa Foundation.

Dr. Tan-Phat Huynh gave a invited talk, at the Annual Conference on: Wearable Devices for Medical Diagnosis, Haifa, Israel 13-14 May, entitled: "Self-healing materials for medical diagnosis".


Dr. Tan-Phat Huynh has been awarded a research grant from the Magnus Ehrnrooth foundation.

Dr. Tan-Phat Huynh joined the Diagnostic Technologies and Applications (DTA) Research Programme.


Dr. Tan-Phat Huynh visited the Intelligent Materials and Systems (IMS) Laboratory at University of Tartu (Estonia).


Dr. Tan-Phat Huynh has been awarded an STSM grant from COST Action 17120 - Chemobrionics.


Dr. Tan-Phat Huynh has been nominated as management committee (MC) member for the COST Action CA17120 "Chemobrionics".


Dr. Tan-Phat Huynh has been selected as evaluator for MFP-COFUND Fellowships Programme - Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Spain).


Dr. Tan-Phat Huynh has been awarded a research grant from Liv och Hälsa Foundation.
